It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 72nd Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Heart Rhythm Society, to be held in Kyoto, the ancient capital with 1200 years of history. In this beautiful city, rich in culture and tradition, we look forward to joining you in envisioning the future of arrhythmia care.

The advancement of arrhythmia treatment has never been the achievement of a single individual. To provide the very best care for our patients, it is essential that physicians and allied health professionals come together as one team, united by a shared vision. By exchanging the expertise refined through daily practice and by carrying forward the deep commitment we each hold for our patients, we grow not only as individuals, but as a medical community.

This year’s meeting will shine a special spotlight on “the power of allied health professionals” and “the power of the next generation.”
From Kyoto to the world, I hope this gathering will inspire allied health professionals to take their first steps onto the global stage. To help foster this, sessions for allied professionals will feature AI-assisted simultaneous translation, breaking down barriers and opening the door to broader exchange.

Equally, the future of our field rests in the energy and vision of young professionals. Fresh ideas, flexible perspectives, and bold challenges all drive progress in arrhythmia care. At this meeting, we will create opportunities for our younger colleagues to take the lead—through dedicated sessions, hands-on training, and case-based discussions—venues where they can refine their skills, broaden their horizons, and build lasting networks. I believe these experiences will serve as a strong foundation for the future.

Kyoto, with its timeless traditions and ever-evolving culture, beautifully mirrors the essence of medicine and the evolution of arrhythmia care. While you are here, we invite you not only to deepen your learning and professional connections, but also to experience the cultural and scenic richness of this city. The murmur of the Kamo River and the quiet presence of ancient temples will surely inspire reflection and renew your energy for the years ahead.

Together, let us take a bold step into the future—here in Kyoto.
We look forward to welcoming you to JHRS 2026.
